hair textures can be dramatically diverse and there are several notable differences between ethnic and caucasian hair. naturally textured hair is courser and thicker and has completely distinctive growth patterns as it doesn't fall downward but rather, it grows up. additionally, ethnic people tend to have less sebaceous glands on their scalp making their hair naturally drier.  this hair type needs an entirely unique set of products and hair care protocols.
